“Making Room For Others' came out of a very strange period of my life…I was 21/22 when I was writing it, and I think that age can be a particularly strange place to exist.
You're suddenly thrown into a world of adult responsibilities and feelings like heartbreak, loss and uncertainty, but you haven't yet developed the maturity or hindsight to properly understand or rationalise those feelings — That idea inspired the title 'Making Room For Others'.
Explains Zac.
“It’s a confronting phrase that comes from a recording of philosopher Alan Watts (which you can hear at the end of the title track), and I liked that. Making room doesn’t necessarily mean losing some part of yourself. It means allowing space for something else to grow."
Produced and mixed by Rick Austin (Charli Lucas, Tenderfoot, Sir Archer) — Making Room For Others takes cues from luminaries like Holy Holy and DMA’S.
