Ditto Music is an independent distribution and label services company, which has 22 offices across 19 countries and now works with over 200 000 artists globally. Started in the UK in 2005 by brothers Matt and Lee Parsons (who were previously in bands themselves), Ditto opened their US office in 2011, and Australian Operations in 2013. In 2015, Ditto Music launched Record Label in a Box, a product containing all of the digital and physical tools needed to set up and run an independent record label.
Originally operating predominantly in the digital distribution space, Ditto expanded this to include record label services in 2015, which has led to rapid expansion into South America, South-East Asia, India, Europe and South Africa. Ditto Music was nominated for Best Label and Artist Services Company at the Music Week Awards in 2017 and 2018, and also named as one of Britain's fasted growing companies on The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list for 2017 and the SME Export Track 100 list for 2018.
The ethos behind Ditto Music is that artists and labels can retain independence, control and rights over their music, while accessing the tools, resources and team that they need. Ditto has worked with International artists such as Chance the Rapper, Stormzy, Wiley and Dave, as well as Australian artists Tash Sultana, Baker Boy, KIAN, Kwame and Alex Lahey.
