One good thing to come from people practising social distancing and isolation is there's plenty of great things happening artistically and Foxie Balboa has come up with the Anthem to get us through!

Australian-based hip hop artist, Foxie Balboa, has come up with a quirky and relatable Ode to survival in isolation that connects with younger people everywhere. She is an Australian Athlete that was set to participate in the Tokyo Olympics so there is a great story behind her of determination and excitement that has now turned to frustration and disappointment due to the virus. With strong links to Italy, her family resides in a small village called Sinopoli, she created the song for them to make them happy and stay positive.

Foxie is setting out to share her stories of life as the underdog with the world.
With narrative at the forefront of her approach, themes of self-empowerment and independence are echoed across her tracks. With artists like J Cole and Snoop Dogg as pivotal influences on her sound, she seeks to revive the 90s boom-bap rap styles but with her own contemporary take on the genre, leaning into the classic Hip Hop vibes that influenced her growing up.

Above all, substance and lyricism over style mark the core of her ethos, and through her music, she recites experiential tales through the lens of the underdog. These are her stories.
