With a psychedelic sound conjuring imagery of summer and 7” records, The Lovely Days are creating a melody-driven soundscape that nods to superheroes like Tame Impala, ELO and Alabama Shakes, emanating musical vibes resonant of the 60’s and 70’s.

Like many bands, The Lovely Days started in a garage but with a bit of a difference– brothers Holden and Tennyson Nobel were only five and seven at the time. Most days, they squeezed in behind the Mitsubishi to learn their chops from their songwriter Dad. It was the start of a mad, musical immersion - Mozart one day, McCartney or Radiohead the next.

Their debut self-titled EP was released in 2016 receiving praise from media across the US, UK, Canada and Australia and impacting the American College Radio circuit. The band then headed back to the studio for their followup.

Their new EP, Arms Wide Open, features the single Mornington, mixed by Eric J Dubowsky (Flume, Chet Faker) who has brought forth the lush harmonies and contemporary vibes that are fast becoming the signature of The Lovely Days.

Arms Wide Open is out now.
