THE SMITH STREET BAND - MORE SCARED OF YOU THAN YOU ARE OF ME

More Scared Of You Than You Are Of Me is Melbourne punks The Smith Street Band’s fourth record and first release on the band’s very own, newly established label Pool House Records.

With three years since the release of Throw Me in the River in 2014, the bands last album, More Scared Of You Than You Are Of Me is a documentation of what’s happened in their lives since.

Recorded in California with the help of many of the American scene’s biggest names, such as the band’s friend and previous tour companion Jeff Rosenstock on production, engineering by Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Deafhaven, Jeff Rosenstock), mixing by John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., Kurt Vile) and mastering by Greg Calbi (Lou Reed, Ramones, Iggy Pop), this album is by far their hardest hitting.

So much went into making this record. Equal amounts of joy, pain, frustration, passion, anger, love, despair and hope. But we made this record because we needed to and we are releasing it ourselves because we believe in it.” says singer, Wil Wagner, of the album.

Catch The Smith Street Band this June on their Australian tour with Ceres, Joyce Manor and Allison Weiss.

More Scared Of You Than You Are Of Me is out now through Pool House Records.
