Telescreen are excited to announce the release of their brand new single 'Crowded'.
This is the first of two tracks from their upcoming 7" vinyl and their first release since taking on their new name.

'Crowded' explores the social complexities of anxiety and the importance of its acceptance and understanding from those around you. 'This is the most important song I've written to date, especially for myself' Nic explains, saying that the song feels like a metaphor for a panic attack ; "it's a song that feels like it's right on the edge of exploding at any moment, yet keeps itself contained and restricted."

Drawing inspiration from the classic George Orwell novel '1984', the band's new name, Telescreen, is reflective of the band's shift towards a moody, retro-inspired sound. They marry an 80's low-fi aesthetic with modern pop/rock to offer a unique and euphonious sound.

Channeling new wave influencers like The Strokes and Joy Division, Telescreen have been working closely with highly renowned Australian producer Dean Tuza (The Rubens, Stella Donnelly, MOSSY, Moody Beach) to develop their explosive new sound, a sound that is sure to get tongues talking. Both tracks off the upcoming 7" were mixed by the four-time ARIA nominated Tony Espie, who is best known for his work on The Avalanches critically acclaimed album 'Wildflower".

Crowded is out now.
